The mission is clear: a climate-neutral Netherlands by 2050. To make that happen, the cabinet recently presented the climate policy programme. With this, the cabinet raises its climate ambitions and clarifies which transitions need to gain traction to reduce our CO2 emissions by 55% in 2030 - and then be completely climate neutral for 20 years.
Here lies an important role for the Dutch high-tech and manufacturing industry. Knowledge, skills and technology are badly needed to make a sustainable change together. With Climate & sustainability as the overarching theme, Mikrocentrum and its members can contribute positively to the climate objectives in several areas.
